JDM yo
(actually most markets had that name)

That’s what it’s called outside the US. Versa is a boring name; they should’ve called it Tiida over here too. If I ever got a Versa, I’d put a Tiida badge on it.

Mexican name for it.

Funny we have Tiida and Versa in Mexico. Basically the same thing. Like Bora and Jetta
![]() 04/29/2016 at 18:54 |

Tiida looks like a typo.

JDM brah
On a related note I saw a MKIV Jetta with a Bora badge this morning. It was totally stock other than that.

Almost as confusing as when I saw a Buick Regal with Vauxhall badges, or a Pontiac G3 Wave with Daewoo badges.

Vin comes up as a Versa.

Its mad JDM yo.
Kinda like putting Skyline badges on cars like my G35.

I personally like the BIG TIIDA. Beats the Versa Note any day, and looks to be the size of the Sentra.

The Tiida is the non US/Canadian name for the Nissan Versa sedan. Probably added the Tiida badge to it, or maybe it was imported from Mexico...? We had them in Canada as the Versa sedan.

It’s the non-electric LEAF.
![]() 04/29/2016 at 22:02 |

The LEAF is actually based on a different platform, though it would make sense if it shared certain underpinnings.
![]() 04/29/2016 at 22:33 |

The LEAF is Versa based, so this is kinda in a way the gassy LEAF.

Yes, but it utilizes a variation of the last-generation Versa’s platform. This is a next-generation of that platform.

In Australia we’ve always had the Pulsar. It became the Tiida for a generation, eventually replaced by the car you’ve pictured but rebranded as a Pulsar.
I’m disgusted to know it’s still a Tiida under the skin.

Why would you be disgusted?
![]() 05/03/2016 at 18:34 |

I don’t think they care about it being boring, more about it being confused for a Verso.

I like the Pulsar. Australia likes the Pulsar. My first car was a Pulsar. The Tiida was a bland piece of crap. I thought the return of the Pulsar with the SSS
meant something
. I was lied to.
